What is NBL Assists?
‍NBL Assists is a for-purpose entity established in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation to deliver positive outcomes across four key pillars: Equality & community cohesion Supporting NBL clubs and players Sustainable basketball pathways Creating more opportunities to play basketball NBL Assists connects communities, creates social equity and enables and inspires the next generation basketball talent from all parts of Australia.

‍How can I support NBL Assists?
The best way to show your support for NBL Assists is to consult with the NBL Assists team about a specific partnership or initiative and make a donation to support the specific objective of interest to you and/or your organisation.

‍What do the funds raised support?
Funds raised through NBL Assists directly support the achievement of the four key pillars, outlined in the NBL Assists Strategic Framework.

‍Can I apply to NBL Assists for support? The NBL works across all parts of Australia to enhance community-based outcomes via pro-active, targeted and strategic partnerships and programs. This makes it difficult for NBL Assists to consider unsolicited requests for support and we regret that we are unable to respond to individual requests at this time.

What is the Australian Sports Foundation?

‍NBL Assists has been developed in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF).  The ASF provide and facilitate services that assist fund-raising for sport by offering tax deductibility for donations to sport and to develop a culture of philanthropy, which supports sport and facilitates corporate/community/sporting partnerships. With ASF’s listing in the Income Tax Assessment Act (ITAA) 1997 as a Deductible Gift Recipient it enables donations of $2 or more to be tax deductible. ‍Are donations tax deductible? Donations of $2 or more are fully tax deductible and the Australian Sports Foundation will issue receipts.

‍Is the donations site secure?
The Australian Sports Foundation uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to secure online credit card transactions. SSL is the most widely deployed security protocol used today.

‍Is my privacy protected?
‍NBL Assists and The Australian Sports Foundation comply with the Privacy Act 1988, in relation to any Personal Information that is collected, used, or disclosed.

‍How will I know how my donations is spent?
Transparency is important to NBL Assists. As part of each partnership agreement, NBL Assists will report on the distribution of funds used to achieve the intended objectives of all donations, including the impact that the funding has achieved. You can also keep up to date with what we are doing with your money and fundraisers by following up on the NBL’s core and associated social media sites.
